Architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886-1969) exclusively designed the Barcelona chair for the German Pavilion in the 1929 Barcelona Exhibition. The Barcelona chair is unquestionably one of the most stylish and elegant pieces of modern furniture from the 20th Century.
With this exquisite chair in mind we have designed our very own Barcelona headboard. Though it has a “machine made” appearance it is almost 100% hand laboured.
Every leather square is individually cut with precision and then painstakingly sewn together along with the piping until complete. Once the sewing machinist has completed this arduous process, the upholsterer must then use leather covered buttons and neatly tuft them into place to finish the product.

Headboard arrived extremely well-packaged and protected. The pictures on the website don’t do it justice. It’s crafted beautifully, leather and craftmanship of very high quality and looks superb in our bedroom. Absolute love it and was great value for money, especially as it was a sale item.
